I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
